Urogynaecology

Urogynaecology is a specialist service for women with bladder, bowel and pelvic floor problems. This includes urinary incontinence (leaking urine), vaginal prolapse and other continence-related conditions.

Our team includes doctors, nurses and physiotherapists. We provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment, including medication, physiotherapy and surgery when needed.

We accept referrals from GPs and the Community Continence Service for conditions such as:

• urinary incontinence
• difficulty passing urine
• urinary tract infections (UTIs), including cystitis
• vaginal prolapse

The Urogynaecology Department is based in the Croft Wing Outpatients Department at Warrington Hospital.
