Hospital parking update

New double red line markings and cross hatchings are being introduced on our hospital sites to protect access for ambulances, fire service vehicles and to keep patients, visitors and staff safe.

The new markings will also help to improve traffic flow throughout the trust’s hospital sites by clearly identifying ‘no parking zones’.

From 29 April any vehicles parked on red lines / cross hatchings at Warrington Hospital will receive warning / advisory notices.

When works are completed at Warrington Hospital any vehicles found parked on these red line/cross hatching areas at either site will receive a parking charge notice (PCN). Parking on the old double yellow lines will not be enforced unless parking is unsafe or causing an obstruction.

The start date for full enforcement of parking restrictions on the red markings will be shared when work has completed at Warrington Hospital. After this date once a PCN has been issued for parking in these restricted areas, it will not be revoked or cancelled.

These restrictions apply to anyone parking on Warrington Hospital premises including staff, contractors, patients, visitors, and blue badge holders.

Similar red line markings and restrictions will be introduced at Halton Hospital over the coming months.
