The Butterfly Lantern Walk will mark the beginning of Baby Loss Awareness Week 2026. We will be meeting in The Old Riding School by the cafe in Walton Hall and Gardens, to decorate a lantern in memory of a special baby, then join us for a walk by lantern light to the Baby Garden in Walton Lea Crematorium to have a moments silence together to reflect and remember.
Wave of Light Service of Remembrance
Date: Thursday 15 October 2026
Time: 6:30pm
Location: St Elphin's Church, Church Street, Warrington, WA1 2TL
As part of Baby Loss Awareness Week 2026, the Wave of Light Service of Remembrance offers an opportunity to commemorate all babies gone too soon. The service will be led by the Trust's hospital chaplains and will include readings and poems before attendees come together to light a candle in memory of their babies.
Families will also be invited to write a personal message for the memory tree and are welcome to stay afterwards for refreshments and quiet reflection.
This is a family-friendly event. Please be aware that pregnant family members, babies, children and healthcare professionals wishing to support the community may also be in attendance.

Anyone wishing to attend either event is asked to complete the registration form.
Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, these events offer a safe and supportive opportunity to remember, reflect and connect with others who understand. Everyone is welcome to join us as we honour the lives of babies who will never be forgotten.
