Oral Health Improvement Team – Warrington

General introduction

The Oral Health Improvement Team promotes evidence‑based oral health messages to help improve the oral health of children living in Warrington.

Our programmes include:

• oral health sessions in children’s centres
• oral health advice ‘drop‑in’ sessions at the Warrington Living Well Hub
• supervised toothbrushing programmes in early years settings, primary schools and SEND schools
• the Tasty Tuck Award in all primary schools
• training for staff in early years settings
• oral health education sessions in primary schools, linked to the Early Years Framework and school curriculum
• attendance at public health events
• support for local and national oral health campaigns
