Joint Voice Clinic

General introduction

The Joint Voice Clinic is a dedicated service for people experiencing problems with their voice.

A specialist ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctor and a specialist speech and language therapist (SLT) work together in one clinic, offering a single appointment to assess your voice and plan the most appropriate treatment.

The clinic uses state‑of‑the‑art stroboscopy equipment to examine your vocal cords with precision. This provides a clearer view of how they are working and, if you wish, you can watch the images during your assessment.

Seeing both ENT and speech and language therapy at the same time can lead to a more accurate diagnosis and help you reach your treatment goals sooner than attending separate appointments. The team will discuss your treatment options together and answer any questions you may have.
