Integrated Community Equipment Service – Halton, St Helens and Warrington

General introduction

Halton, St Helens and Warrington Integrated Community Equipment Service provides equipment to people living in Warrington to support independent living.

The service covers all aspects of equipment provision, including administration, procurement, delivery, collection, decontamination, maintenance, repair and storage.

Equipment is provided within seven days of assessment for people of all ages and client groups, helping individuals remain independent in their own home or residence.

The service supports early discharge from hospital and helps prevent unnecessary admissions by ensuring people have the equipment they need in the community.

It also enables carers to continue in their caring role and helps to minimise moving and handling risks for patients, carers and staff.
