Living with sensory difficulties

Everybody experiences the world around them in different ways.

Our senses provide us with the information we need to carry out day‑to‑day tasks and activities. This sensory information helps us understand who we are, where we are and what is happening around us.

Sometimes the way the brain processes sensory information can make it difficult to join in with everyday activities at home or in the community.
