Bladder and Bowel Care Service (Children’s) – Warrington


General introduction

We provide specialist assessment, support and advice for children and young people who are experiencing bladder and / or bowel problems.

We see and treat children from aged 12 months to 17 years.

Children with special educational needs are seen up to age 19 if they remain in the education system.

We also provide education and training sessions for children, families and professionals.

We offer clinic appointments for:

  • daytime wetting
  • nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting)
  • constipation

For toilet training and provision of products we offer:

  • joint home visits with a nurse and nursery nurse
  • school meetings
  • clinic appointments
How to access this service

Any child or young person who is registered with a Warrington GP can access this service.

Referrals are accepted from health and education professionals, as well as self‑referrals via our referral form or by phone.

Use the Children's Bladder and Bowel Care Service (Warrington) referral form to refer to the service.

Following triage, families will receive an opt‑in text and will have seven days to contact the service to book an appointment.
